Meet Jane
I think of myself as a catalyst for practical and magical change. Expect me to challenge the way you’re doing life. I want you to be empowered to change. I’m not interested in just listening to woes. I’m super warm and compassionate and friendly… and I will help you see yourself as powerful instead of stuck, overwhelmed and helpless. I will give you homework. And in session, I will help you move through those stuck places in a way that will seem magical.
I got into hypnotherapy in a pretty magical way. I was teaching an ecstatic dance style class and thought doing a visualization would be a good addition. I never stopped to question whether I could lead something I could not (at that time) follow. My spontaneity proved inspired because I could lead them—really well. Words just came through me. As a result, students began to ask me to work with them one on one. The same thing happened. Words came through and it became interactive and oh so powerful! It took me a couple of years before I learned to trust what was happening. I know now that healing power is flowing through the client and through me and I am being guided by that power. I routinely feel awed by the experience, which is one reason I love my work so much! It also taught me what happens when we trust the power within us so I’m passionate about helping you learn to listen to your inner wisdom. Whether we use tools like hypnosis, past life regressions, soul healings or even, at times, simply talking, if you are willing and ready to let go of struggle, you can find freedom, peace, abundance, love and joy. It is never too late.
In 1995, I was certified by The Hendricks Institute as a Body-Centered Therapist and a Conscious Relationship Coach. The tools I learned from Drs. Gay and Kathlyn Hendricks really changed my life and have enabled me to help so many people over the years. I graduated from college way back in 1971 as a teacher and I still love to teach. I also have a graduate degree in journalism and love to write. So far I have published one self help book, Magic Child, with another, Love Letters from the Mother, soon to be released. I have written over 100 articles in local publications.
Getting into hypnotherapy already seemed like a major “plot twist” from my early teaching career, but I was even more surprised by the next one–being called to ministry. I grew up Catholic, so I didn’t have any role models for female ministers. There were nuns, however, and I did that for 9 years! Looking back on my life, these spiritually based career choices make sense. I still remember at the age of 12 that my teacher made a pitch for us kids to aim for sainthood. Mentally, I signed up! Of course, I understand that differently today. I see our life journey as being about letting more and more of our essence shine through as we learn to drop the veils of limiting beliefs.
So I answered the call to be a spiritual leader. I was initially ordained in 2004 and ordained as a Unity minister in 2015. I love being part of this movement that is advancing spiritual awakening in the world. I believe that truly what the world needs now is to wake up to higher consciousness. Spirituality amplifies the effect of the work I’ve been doing because the spiritual component creates the most dramatic healing.
In 2011, I became the senior minister for Unity Community of Central Oregon. It is such a privilege for me to be engaged in building where love and spiritual awakening are the focus. We all need to surround ourselves with people who hold the highest idea of who we are and who we are becoming. This ministry is my growing edge and I feel it calling me more and more, which has resulted in my reducing my private practice in order to focus on it. I’m also focusing on creating more materials that people can benefit from no matter where they live. When I go, I want to be sure I’ve squeezed out every last drop of juice as a gift to the world! If something that I offer enriches your life, I am most grateful.
On a personal level, I’ve been married more than once. I remarried in 2014 and am getting to enjoy the process of how two seniors, well established in their ways, can learn to dance together without pushing each other around the dance floor! I have 2 daughters, now in their 30’s and (so far) one grandchild who delights me no end. I have a dog, Ringo, whose job is to be a therapy wonder dog. I’m the oldest of 8 kids and so family has always been a big part of my life. As an adult, family, community and spirituality are probably my biggest values.
